Malaysia ada foreign affairs footprint yang dihormati dunia.
Malaysia pernah bantu Iran sewaktu Iran dikenakan sekatan ekonomi era 1980-an (selepas revolusi Islam).
Sewaktu Iran dipulaukan oleh dunia, Malaysia hadir & berdagang dengan Iran dengan supply minyak sawit.
Begitu juga dengan China, sewaktu China dikenakan sekatan ekonomi sebab dasar communism dia, Malaysia hadir menghulur tangan. Ekonomi China terselamat sebab Malaysia.
Hari ini kedua-dua negara ini sudah jadi kuasa besar dunia.
Sehingga hari ini mana-mana Menteri Luar atau PM kita bila pergi ke China, pemimpin mereka akan ungkit jasa Malaysia yang dibuat oleh Tun Razak ketika itu. Begitulah bagaimana China benar-benar menghargai jasa Malaysia. They remember.
Tun M juga banyak meninggalkan international footprint khususnya di Asia Barat, Asia Timur dan Afrika. Kita disanjungi negara dunia ke-3 sebab waktu zaman Tun M, kita tak pro Barat sangat. Keberanian kita membawa suara dunia ketiga melalui OIC dan NAM, menjadi sumber inspirasi negara-negara seperti Zimbabwe, Kenya, Afrika Selatan. Hinggakan Robert Mugabe kata Tun Mahathir adalah idola dia.
Kita terhutang budi kepada kebijaksanaan pemimpin-pemimpin kita yang terdahulu. Sebab dasar mereka memberi pulangan kepada kita pada hari ini.
