There differing views on whether someone who accepts Christ but later lives in sin can still be saved. It highlights two main theological perspectives: the Calvinist view, which teaches that those truly chosen by God for salvation (“the elect”) cannot lose it, and the Arminian view, which holds that a person can fall away from faith and lose salvation. Though often seen as opposing positions, both ultimately address the same core issue—the true nature of salvation and what it means to be genuinely saved. I’ve noticed a real need for the church to grow in its knowledge, passion, and interest in apologetics. The church should be a place where people feel safe asking spiritual questions, and I’m thankful for the apologists who specialize in answering difficult objections and explaining why we believe what we believe. If we believe that the universe came from nothing, or if you believe in a mindless, causeless beginning, you must also believe in a series of highly improbable "miracles"—from the formation of matter, to life, to consciousness, to morality—all without guidance. In contrast, the Christian worldview posits an uncaused, intelligent creator, which makes the existence of a life-permitting universe and rational, moral beings more logically coherent and expected. We have to distinguish between symbolic numbers in the Bible and modern numerology. Biblical numbers can carry symbolic meaning, but using numbers to predict events, receive personal signs, or gain hidden knowledge crosses into divination. Seeking secret messages in repeated numbers can distract people from Scripture and the Holy Spirit, shifting their focus toward the numbers themselves. Because it redirects attention away from Christ and relies on methods associated with hidden or mystical knowledge, this practice is considered unwise and best avoided. An amazing move of God is being seen in the number of Muslims converting to Christianity. Additionally, it observes that longstanding theological and philosophical debates between the two faiths are resurfacing, but with renewed attention and refinement — old arguments are being revisited and updated. Some advanced forms of apologetics may be too complex ,but there are many foundational skills that younger children can learn. Experience shows that younger kids may struggle to define abstract concepts, but they learn effectively by identifying examples. When children point to examples, they’re actually forming mental categories, much like sorting items in a game. Teaching them to recognize patterns and categorize ideas helps lay the groundwork for later understanding and prepares them for more formal apologetics as they grow. Some people adopt beliefs like atheism or Islam simply because they were raised in them and haven’t questioned their foundations—and the same can be true for Christians. So, Christians must examine why they believe, rather than relying on inherited tradition. For Christians, the Bible encourages giving a reason for one’s faith; simply saying “I just believe” may express sincerity but does little to strengthen or share the Gospel effectively. When talking to a Jewish (or any) friend about faith, the best approach is to start with genuine curiosity—“Can you tell me why you believe what you believe?” This question is warm, respectful, and invites honest dialogue without assumptions or offense. Many people, including Jews, follow a kind of "folk religion" that doesn't fully align with their tradition’s core teachings. So, avoid assuming they know all the details, like Messianic prophecies. Instead, listen to their story, honor their background, and share your own journey humbly—like acknowledging that Jesus and the early church were Jewish, and that Christianity is rooted in Jewish faith. This flips the narrative and shows respect. For more, click here: shorturl.at/EWTGJ #Christianity #Theology #Church
