In as much as @MoMoFromMTNGh has its flaws, like any other payment system, we should understand the role authorization plays in payment. Stop accusing them of stealing your money. You need some sort of authorization to complete a transaction, be it pre or post authorization.

So @flypassionair decided to cancel my flight from Accra to Tamale after delaying the flight for 3+ hours, leaving passengers frustrated and stranded. As if that’s not enough, they told us the next available flight is Thursday. They don’t even care. Tuesday to Thursday? How?

The team at @AbsaGhana has resolved my issue. To encourage early payers like myself they’ll have to speed up these confirmations, possibly within 24hrs. The frustration I went through made it feel like I’m being punished for doing the right thing.

In a fraud and payment survey conducted recently, it was recorded that 74.8% of companies experienced an increase in fraud in the past year, with 69.3% seeing a rise in payment fraud specifically - Ravelin 2024.
