“bakla”, originally “bacla” was used by francisco balagtas in florante and laura to mean “uncertain” — which arguably was its originalc meaning. today since the distant past, it has been historically weaponized to call queer folks derogatorily. take it from that information.

gay men very obviously are the first to mock and invalidate my struggles. they could have chosen to read or go through the politics/context of such language, but literacy is a food resisted even by a dying, starving gay man.
