Minority Senators walk out of plenary session after majority insists on discussion of rule amendment on electronic voting

@sinkosintvz7 @johnat143 mind you, natapos ang 18th congress na pending pa rin yang resolution kahit submitted sa committee on rules pero yung kanina wala pang isang araw minamadali na agad bigyan ng desisyon kahit wala pang committee. bakit?

Risa Hontiveros: Hindi ako sensitibo sa puna, sanay ako diyan. Pero ang pinakita po na video ay FAKE NEWS. Delivering a privilege speech is not the same as having the privilege to have fake news enter in the official records as if it were evidence. @risahontiveros 👏🏼

puro kayo tinola discourse when the real enemy is right there (sinigang)

@maka_dagat if the word really is derogatory by nature, why do they use it among themselves?

@maka_dagat what i was trying to get at was that words arent inherently bad, theyre made bad by those who use them. as long as these ppl exist, kahit na hindi paldo or bakla yan, theyll find other words to mock you. yung taong gumagamit ang problema, hindi yung salita.

@maka_dagat okay so you agree that words arent inherently queerphobic/derogatory. tho the usage of bakla is still nuanced, you can see that its actively being reclaimed by the community. its now used to playfully call someone, sometimes even those outside the community. words change meaning

@maka_dagat ateco, ang absurd naman kasi ng claim. it just so happen that 'paldo' was used by trans-/queerphobic ppl around you. if 'sexy' is used to catcall a woman, does the word sexy suddenly become misogynistic? idts. paldo can be used to mock straight ppl too

i genuinely hate the word “paldo” there’s something so fucking transphobic and queerphobic about that slang
