@Janetbirdope @CRASCRRheum Why ivig ahead of rituximab? Given the potential supply issues, costs and thrombosis risk of high dose ivig, would maintenance rituximab be a better long term option?

Britain’s hospitals average 90% bed occupancy throughout the year, and 95% in winter. This is not normal! 1/3

Last night in NZ, it is feeling a bit maudlin but looking forward to getting to Glasgow and the lovely weather there. NZ has been a great experience and a beautiful country, just don't trust the roads...

I finish up in nz in a week (feeling very maudlin) then have a month of touring nz before me return. I'm very worried I'll get bored, please recommend your best recent Immunology papers, I can't fit janeway in my luggage.

@NatDodman One interesting point, as a consultant in nz I'm barely on that, normal pay deals for residents or trainees here would need 5yrs reg experience and 60+hr weeks to hit this. I'm very supportive of RD pay restoration but off see nz pay discussed with quoting their actual pay deals

I am once again reminding @wesstreeting that pay restoration still represents incredible value for money. If he can justify why a. assistant is paid £10k more than a qualified doctor (starting pay £36k) I’ll happily not strike. But that won’t ever happen, because it’s wild.

@Janetbirdope @RheumNow @eular_org Is if not surprising they got none of the standard care group to remission? I would have thought at least some on MTX and pred without probiotics would make it?

@MoarSahitoPTI It shouldn't be. Cetirizine has as good time to onset, better safety profile, available otc, longer duration and evidence of equal efficacy in food allergy.

@LastManStand85 Also important to note this is for an IgA tTG of x10 upper limit of normal, not any degree of positivity. IgG based assays have weaker diagnostic accuracy and generally would still need biopsy confirmation.
