Most beautiful thing about our wedding was the large part our children played in the ceremony. They walked in with us, gave us our rings, and made speeches expressing their joy. It meant the world to @ProfAlang and I to see our babies validate and participate in our union.

Sent a 2-page abbreviated CV biosketch with a grant inquiry email and thought some US scholars might wanna see an example of how to format one. Many funding agencies don't wanna read your full CV and request a 2 or 4-pager. This may show you how to prioritize most essential info.

I’ve had a lot of anxiety about doing the SECURE study in-depth interviews with women who experienced illegal evictions. I’ve done 6 so far this week and they have been *much worse than I anticipated. God help us😭

SECURE study enrollment is officially done! I met *ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR* Black women from my BELOVED community and personally thanked them for participating and helping us create change. I literally jumped at the sun😭😭😭 Thank y’all for going with me✊🏽💛

@Saramerwin1 Thanks! I think a formal announcement is coming soon. In the meantime, I'm spending the summer in Latin America, perfecting my Spanish, horseback riding, and surfing with the kids.

I'm so grateful to have spent the last 3 years as a local Public Health Director. It was challenging & fulfilling. I'm humbled by my next opportunity which will allow my to make an impact at both the local and national level. 1st thing 1st, summer fun to celebrate change.
