There is a conversation about misogyny in atla to be had, but the atla fandom at large is not actually ready to have it, because they'd have to start seriously dissecting the flaws of the series, many of which are there because the men who created it were also misogynists.

Acting like the fire nation isn't misogynistic when Ursa was isolated from her family and reduced to a womb and caretaker for Ozai's children while having to endure his abuse. And not to mention the way Katara was portrayed in the Ember Island play, which is also racist.
