After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. I understand how it works I just don’t agree with your opinion. He has a specific job to do which is to protect the USA from terrorists attacks, we are currently in a conflict with a nation that is well known for terrorist support and activities. And he choses that moment when he would be needed most to leave, creating a void at a crucial time. That is not good leadership nor is it worthy of praise. Regardless of your feelings of the conflict, your top priority should be protecting the USA not leaving when you are needed most.
