I'm gonna be real here: The changing of voice actors is the most nothing-burger I've seen. They're adults now and there's plenty of cases where people sound noticably different when they grow old. You yourself probably sound different from when you were in high school.

And with each new clip, we’ll watch the original fanbase devolve further into Star Wars fans. The internal cringe of unfulfilled nostalgia-poisoned adulthood will condemn them to a hell of their own making. All they had to do, was grow up. And there were decades to do it.

When Back go the Future Part II was made they had no concept of much of the technology we have today. However, we still don’t have hoverboards.

As I've said before, there's a vastly different cultural mentality toward ownership in Japan vs. the West. Japan is the land of limited time goods and services. When it's over, it's over. If you can't get it through official channels, they believe you have no right to it.
Brodie Robertson@BrodieOnLinux

There's such a different response to this from Japanese fans and everyone else, most people are happy about a dead game being brought back by the community. But I've seen a bunch of Japanese fans angry about this because it goes against the wishes of Square Enix.

The evolution of hard drives is wild. The first one shown is from 40 years ago, only had 10 Megabytes of storage, and cost $7000 at the time. Now our iPhones have like 100,000x the storage at a fraction of the size. What is the oldest style hard drive shown here you used?

@fHN14fW1X6sXN50 Yes. Localization is not needed. People defending localization. Are trying to change what everyone is complaining about. I don't want to see a JPN character. speaking like an American. Like how the JPN dub of Star Trek TNG. Doesn't add chan, san honorifics. Since it's American.

Am I the only one who hates console mods that remove the disc drive? I see these for both the PS1 and Dreamcast a lot. Like... Why would you remove the ability to ever actually buy and play games in their native format on the original hardware? Surely there's other ways to play your collection of ISOs on the hardware...

This game feels like the dev team really were trying to figure out how exactly you innovate on the classic RE formula when by this point it had effectively been perfected at this point, resulting in interesting but not well thought out design choices, namely no item box.

@EmperorBigD It means someone wasn't happy with the size choice. So they did the changes in the later episodes. But went back and corrected the masters of 1-3. So it no longer exists anymore. Kind of like Vegeta and Nappa's color change.

In 1989 when Toei distributed tapes of DBZ Episodes 1-3 to TV stations, there was a hard to spot difference from everything else. The FONT SIZE in the OP credits was notably larger than any future episodes. ALL future home releases would not have this font, as it would only be on the original unmastered tapes. Peep next tweet for comparison images!

Genuine question because this keeps happening, why does Nick make entire movies then just wait a year before releasing them? Like id get it if they were dealing with theaters and marketing but these are streaming movies released with little fanfare.

Nickelodeon has reportedly been hacked, and the hacker released the entire Avatar movie, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender. The movie was supposed to be released in October 2026.

@meleepikanair I’ve been rewatching the show from the beginning. A few weeks ago I passed this episode and suddenly realised the animation had changed and a couple of episodes later I was like “How did it take me this long to notice?!”

@meleepikanair It's changing formats. They need time to setup assets. So they remained animating on film. Til the PC workstations were ready. Also, if they transfered the digital art back to film. The look might have remained more closely. It's going purely to digital. That changes the look.

I think the main thing is that the lighting and coloring is way more saturated compared to how it was before. I wonder why they made the transition so late into the series, the Openings have this exact style
