@thearain60 i relate to this a lot even though I went the opposite direction. some people are surprised by how much more honest and direct my communication style has become. they blame the T but it’s actually just the fact I like myself now so hold back less

when i started transitioning, in effort to lessen the blow to friends and family, i told them that id be the same person they knew—just a girl—but in the two years since, ive grown in so many ways that i hardly recognize that quiet, insecure person anymore

prolly attributed to feeling much more confident snd less anxious in general. im less fussy with details and just wing it without overthinking. i feel more resilient to artistic fuck ups as well and laugh it off rather than ruminate

i’m not sure if any other transmasc artists have noticed this but after being on hrt for a while, i noticed a distinct shift in my brain with how i draw. i feel shittier at fine motor skills but much better at big picture thinking
