Most Holy Father, with filial respect, I humbly ask Your Holiness, regarding this message, that if the world needs clarity and peace, then the Catholic Church must stand firmly in the truths she has always taught. For many centuries, the Roman Pontiffs have proclaimed that the Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ, and that those separated from her lack full communion. Because of this, actions or gestures that seem to contradict prior teaching, or place schismatic communities on equal footing with the Church, cause confusion among the faithful as we are witnessing right now. If scandals are to be removed, then I ask with the upmost respect: please do not allow new scandals through ambiguity or gestures contrary to traditional Catholic belief. Confusion itself breeds disunity; true unity cannot grow from it. If the Church is the fullness of truth, then let all within her, and all who seek to come to her, be united in that truth. I am just a layman, but I humbly ask this not in defiance, but as a son speaking with love for Holy Mother Church and concern for many many souls.
