@areveriii @smallhusk @Theolojism @tenobrus from a strictly solipsistic approach, there's no way to verify if anyone else is conscious. neural functionality also differs from LLMs in more than substrate. both arguments are irrelevant because by most anti-mysterian definitions, AI doesn't fit the criteria for consciousness.

@aimeebalthazar @smallhusk @Theolojism @tenobrus it’s absolutely not a fact. how is a brain not also modeling probabilistic relationships across billions of inputs? they are both doing inference within different substrates. we don’t actually have a way to determine if anything is conscious other than ourselves.
