@thisisamy_b I used to tell people from out of the state that Denver was the cleanest big city. I haven’t said that in at least 10 years.

I have recently had cause to regularly go to the colfax & york area from SW Denver and let me just say, the mayor is absolutely full of shit about our city. Colfax is a total nightmare- trying to navigate, watching the people walking along there shooting up drugs, some wearing minimal to no clothes, some shitting themselves or our streets. The whole city looks like trash. There is trash and weeds everywhere. Minor thorough fares to major highway arteries are littered with debris, occasional shopping carts and tent encampments. Denver never used to look like this, it was a clean city. If you’re a tourist coming here and you’re seeing trash everywhere from DIA to the mountains it just shows that no one cares about maintaining a beautiful town. We have this gorgeous Mountain View and our whole city looks trashed. Driving home through downtown if you go past the capital building, the art museum, take any street that leads across Broadway closer to the river and Santa Fe there are just oodles of homeless people cracked out of their minds hanging out along the roadways. I don’t know any tourist who would feel safe coming here. As a resident I don’t feel safe walking around down there because these people have mental illness and you just can’t know what’s gonna happen. It’s a really sad state of what has become of a great city,  the state of Denver is that it’s been destroyed by Democrats. End of story.

I’ll admit I called Fetterman a joke when he was running and won. He hits the nail on the head a lot more than expected and would love it if became the voice of the Demonrats. Our country needs a more moderate Demonrat party, while our Republicans need to stand up to the far left.
