lots of yall are saying black doesn’t mean stuggle & things of the sort. And like ive said, no thats not how I would define blackness in totality, as its much more complex, but its def acknowledged somewhere in the definition.

this really all goes back to shame. I remember one of my friends and i discussing how a lot of AA are ashamed of slavery and ashamed to be descendants of slaves and what that means for us.

@inmymentee @datalkinbook thats the point. being black does not mean struggle no. the definition is obviously more complex than that. but do Black people still have some sort of struggle in all walks of our life? yes because we sre black in a society that hates us 😭

@inmymentee @datalkinbook I’ve never been racially profiled (to my knowledge) but thats because most ppl think im one of “the good blacks” which is gross. I also think its disingenuous to pretend I’m not affected by race despite all these things. Thats just not how it works.

@datalkinbook and that sounds bleak I know and obviously you can still be very successful & of high income, etc. That still doesn’t take away from the fact that many systems you participate in are built against you. You don’t have to be poor for that to be true. You are not white.

@datalkinbook Yall are thinking very surface level struggle and thats more indicative of what you think of & define black people. Duh. Some Black people dont come from broken homes, horrible schools, & low socio-economis status. The point is that you’re Black in a world that is against you.

Provided that they are maintaing using warm water daily

The vulva ABSOLUTELY needs soap & water, idc! You will smell if you only use water! Use whatever soap that works for you but you need soap.

Smell can be harder bc you can be adjusted to your own scents & pheromones so you may think you smell normal or fine. This whole convo shoudn’t be based in judgement tho but spreading info so we can check these things for ourselves

@erinLesbi @GossipMyss @_sorrengailll Thats for you and your doctor to figure out tbh! Typically, if something has a strong smell or even if its just different than what’s typical for you, I would be concerned. As far as “normal” discharge, smell & color would be indicators. Not just any smell ofc

@arguing4free I meant my longer “natural” lashes look better than my shorter lashes did! Strips & extensions can be cute too. I was just saying that it all counts as makeup to me. Like to truly say you’re washing off all your makeup, & this is your bare face, you have to take off your lashes

she’s got great skin for sure but lash extensions/strips are essentially makeup to me. it’s like wiping off your face & having tattooed brows! i look so much better with & without makeup now that i’ve grown out my lashes — b/c it’s just like mascara!

@MummyEvie6699 @Damilolaa_aa @_sorrengailll if bacteria collects, why would you just need water? im trying to think of anything that collects bacteria, that we don’t add soap or some type of agent to disinfect. clothes, dishes, surfaces all require more than water.

@GossipMyss @_sorrengailll it's a vagina... it's literally an inside-out organ. it's going to smell like it. acting like vagina shouldn't have any smell at all is weird and absolutely promotes needless insecurities in people
