On December 6 1989, 14 women were murdered at Polytechnique Montréal in a senseless act of violence. Their lives were cruelly cut short, just because they were women. We honour their memories by committing ourselves to ending gender-based violence in Canada & around the world.

George Orwell’s Animal Farm explores how a revolution can merely be switching the positions of the oppressor and the oppressed. True social justice is more profound and requires granting the same rights to people regardless of whether you wholly agree with them.
