@giffmana i need to give a talk at the workshop "aligning RL experimentalists and theorists" at upcoming neurips and haven't decided what to do. given the attention on RL recently I wanted to talk about what theorists can teach the community anyway, and this thread is giving more ideas :)

New preprint: Is Behavior Cloning All You Need? Understanding Horizon in Imitation Learning
We show that good old fashioned behavior cloning enjoys horizon-independent sample complexity for imitation learning—provided you use the log loss! arxiv.org/abs/2407.15007
