As part of my outreach course (and future outreach) I will be hosting an informal science activity about research my lab focuses on. I was recommended to make it more engaging for elementary school students, so I made Pokemon cards of molecules (and super simplified chemistry 🤓

I am beyond excited to launch my independent career at @uclachem! The Tinoco group will primarily investigate and evolve microbial chemistry in the context on human and environmental health.

I was incredibly honored to have awarded the inaugural "Dr. Elias Picazo Scholarship" to Linette Barajas from Shafter High School, CA in recognition of her outstanding academic performance, including scientific success, and desire to pursue a career in medicine!
