Please don't cut back ivy if tidying your garden! At this time of year in the UK, its flowers are a great late season pit-stop for struggling pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies and moths. Then the berries will feed hungry birds in winter 🐝🌿

I am heartbroken to see the awful damage to the new playground at #Armley Park. We have asked for the site to be cleared immediately so that it is safe for families to use. If anyone has any information about who is responsible for this damage, please contact the police.

Last Friday, government's 'mini-budget' launched an attack on planning & the environment. We're asking supporters to email their MP saying no to the deregulation agenda and yes to community participation & putting the environment at the heart of policy. 1/

Just 3% of our wildflower meadows are left. RT if you think we should give bumblebees a fighting chance by growing more wildflowers in our gardens, communities and green spaces, and not using pesticides and weedkillers 🐝

Make no mistake - we are also incredibly angry. We stand with @RSPBEngland in calling out the unprecedented attack on nature launched by UK Government over the last few days. We’ll be challenging this together and asking for our supporters to stand with us.

Street trees 🌳 protect 🛡 us from the effects of a changing climate🥵 They keep our streets cooler😎. They stand up better to ⛈ heavy rain. They put that protection exactly📍where it is needed. We have the opportunity to plant an urban forest 🌳 🌳 🌳 in our towns and cities 🏘

6,000 trees were planted at this site in England, but more than 90 percent have now died. Environmentalists claim councils are wasting public money with failed tree planting schemes, all so they’re “seen to be doing something” about the climate crisis. @sophiasgaler reports.
