@saifedean @MittyN11 If Bitcoin becomes increasingly more valuable than why would you ever spend your Bitcoins knowing they will be worth more next year. …unless you have no choice. Therefore Bitcoin will transfer wealth to those who are wealthy enough to not have to spend them.

The value you can attach to a bitcoin is limitless; that's why bitcoin could replace all the world's moneys. The number of bitcoin is limited; that's why nobody can steal wealth in bitcoin with inflation. You can't tell the difference; thats why nobody should take you seriously
Paul Vigna@paulvigna

@Danainhawaii @brucefenton But you can divide each one up to the eighth decimal place. 100m satoshis for all 21m bitcoins. If you’re putting dollars into bitcoin, it is effectively limitless.

@leeharris Maybe I’m the only one thinking this, but a $20 Billion hole in finances doesn’t seem that much these days. Nat West managed to lose $43 Billion in one year.

Rachel Reeves will claim there's a '£20bn black hole' in public finances to justify higher taxes. Meanwhile, Ed Miliband will spend £11.6bn on overseas climate aid and BILLIONS more on Net Zero. Labour care more about virtue signalling than they do about the British public😡

YouTube property "influencer" Ranjan Bhattacharya just tried to take this video off the internet. Why? Because it shows him promoting a landlord tax avoidance scheme without disclosing he received £500k+ in fees from the scheme.

174 years ago there was a huge storm in northern Scotland, and it uncovered something strange. From beneath the soil emerged a perfectly preserved village older than the Pyramids, and it even had furniture. This is the 5,000 year old story of Skara Brae...

This was the spark that set off riots in Leeds last night. Social services and police remove children from an imported family, clearly a safeguarding issue. So the other imported families, to prove they're respectable and responsible, burn down the area.

THIS IS WHAT SPARKED THE RIOTS IN LEEDS Police attended a house yesterday in the Harehills area of Leeds where they took five children away from a Roma gypsy family. Roma gypsies are from Romania and Bulgaria, most identify as Christian, and are here legally.

Currently we have a ‘shortfall’ of around 200 000 births a year needed to maintain a stable population & provide a future tax base that can pay for NHS & pensions. UK tax & welfare policy should be focused on enabling couples to have the children they want, not stopping them. 4/5

The ‘two child’ limit should be scrapped. Not only is it deeply unethical (the underlying message is ‘poor people shouldn’t have kids’), it is also foolish when the biggest threat to our future prosperity is low birth rates. 🧵1/5 bbc.com/news/articles/…

So Starmer says Biden is perfectly fine the same day he then calls Zelensky Putin and Trump Vice President. He gets slapped down by the MOD after he said Ukraine could fire British missiles on Russia. Dyson cuts 1000 jobs in the UK. Carpetright going bust with 1800 jobs set to go and so much more. Denial that no more North Sea Oil and Gas licences to be issued. They guy is a complete liability but as expected the entire MSM is covering for him! Not UNN! @gylesnamopaleen @brexit_sham As part of the Brexit agreement U.K. driving licenses continue to be valid in EU countries. It was a reciprocal agreement and EU driving licenses continue to be valid in the U.K. Also, EU residency permits will exempt a U.K. national from ETIAS fingerprint requirements.

So much for the "they're just punishing us" line from britons upset that brexit meant brexit. Still lots of anecdotes of britons refusing to learn language or do local driving tests "because we're british!". Oct 7th is when the new checks start. 1/6 biometricupdate.com/202308/france-…

@WallStreetSilv A question… is inflation data based on the menu prices or the menu prices + all the extra charges? When I used to visit the US a lot (20 years ago) the service charge was typically 15%. Now it’s 20% with an extra 5% on that. And they charge sales tax on top of that. 😳

@Ye_Olde_Holborn Is it a congestion charge or a pollution charge? Answer… it’s a congestion charge so they should pay the charge. It’s an anomaly they’re currently exempt. They will continue to be exempt from the ULEZ pollution charge which makes sense.
