Terminal ileal intubation. Don’t do it just because you can. In screening colonoscopies, that time is much better spent inspecting the colon on withdrawal!

A study by Leiman et al. from @Duke_GI_ showed that terminal ileum intubation rates during screening colonoscopy are not associated with quality measures. It was also associated with a longer procedural time without a higher pathology yield. buff.ly/2HWtsn3

This is important:
Gastric ulcers require an endoscopy 6-8 weeks to ensure healing (NICE guideline).
Gastric erosions don't.
Both require testing for H pylori +/- eradication.
