In an innovative step to reduce crime and improve efficiency in a rural district of Uttar Pradesh, Baghpat SP has developed a tech-based monitoring system to ensure beat constables remain alert in their respective areas. For this, QR codes have been pasted in different parts of Baghpat district and beat constables have to register their presence by scanning it via a phone app. Earlier, a monitoring team used to do surprise checks.
