My good deed of the week. My neighbor is an early 60’s widow. She was paying 75$ a week years ago to have her yard mowed. I said nope I’ll do it for free. You can hear her and her sister from my porch playing classic rock and drinking beer most nights 🤣. She also kidnaps my dog and takes her to Sonic 🤷🏻‍♂️. They even have a little path all the way up to her back porch. I say this bc IRL no one knows I do this little thing 20min or so a week. I like it that way. I say something here to encourage yall to help where ya can. I love how my preacher always says during the offering “to give of your talents as well”. It’s not money that God wants from us. It’s to be a good neighbor. 👊🏻

Well, we were going to take Alfie home tomorrow to come back Wednesday for my brother-in-law Glenn’ chemo treatment, but now he may be getting readmitted to the hospital again. A lot of pain and testing today showed bio leak, possibly into his chest. Asking for continued prayers for his healing and thank you in advance.

Seven days after losing Pop, my sweet mother decided it was time to go to Heaven as well. She passed peacefully this morning. Her long goodbye with us has now came to an end and she is once again whole in mind and body. If you knew her, you knew kindness and generosity. ❤️🙏🏻

Brain surgery 8yrs ago I'm here thank GOD. Chronic anxiety came I live with. I've now been diagnosed with Eustachiantubedysfunction, popping every few days. Tinnitus I've had for 4yrs can cope but this is hard now, popping hrs. I am exhausted. I have to adapt. Pls 🙏 for me😪

I lost my best friend of over 30 years yesterday. He was tragically killed in a work accident. I'm absolutely devastated. He leaves behind a wife and two children. We ended our vacation and immediately flew home. He was my poker buddy, golf pair, confidant, grab a beer, and best friend from since we were 16. My heart is devastated.

Paul, one of the elders of my church since my family first came here, Then for a time my co-elder. In his 80s, had to step down due to failing health. Already on hospice care & last night fell, broke his hip. Not sure if surgery is an option at this point. Prayers appreciated.

I know I already asked this week, but please pray for me. I'm continuing to feel so sick with abdominal pain and nausea despite eating only my 4 safe foods. This morning is particularly bad.

Worst tooth infection of my life has spread around my mouth. Broken tooth was neglected due to my mother’s stroke. I have had ongoing oral reconstructive surgeries since my jaw was locked shut from the car crash in 2009. Dentist refused extraction, requiring “clearance” from oncology to say it’s ok to operate as the tooth requires my gums to be cut open. Dentist lectured me about the dangers of sugar and the apologises when he reads I was in a near fatal car crash and that’s what ruined my teeth. Very cool. Face is swollen and has a pulse even after 24 hrs on antibiotic. I swear I’ve never experienced pain like this in my life, I still cannot move my bottom lip. Oncology refuses to give clearance. Yes, really. Making me drive an hour there in order to wait over the weekend and then come back with “approval to proceed.” Awake for 50 hours by this point, pacing and crying. Cat is comforting me. Dentist flat out tells me he will not prescribe narcotics for pain medicine, even though my history shows I do well with pain medicine/chronic cancer pain relief, I’m allergic to NSAIDS. Yes, really. L Fails to tell me they are closed today. PCP office hears me crying and fights for me, gets a different doctor to prescribe a day or two worth of pain medicine. Says he left an “educating and corrective” message for the young dentist. Self soothing by saying “it will be ok” over and over times 100. I’m going to try and sleep again.

We buried my middle son, James, age 47, under a beautiful Bur Oak tree in Oklahoma this past Tuesday. He died instantly from an accidental fall. The preacher used my life scripture, Phil. 4:4-7, though he didn’t know that when he chose it. “Rejoice in the Lord always”…
