lowering gaze out of respect for the other person or your own partner is normal, pretending women don't exist and not interacting with them at all because you think it's gonna ruin your faith isn't normal but the latter is taught and seen as normal

There’s this guy at my workplace who always lowers his gaze whenever a woman walks by, without making a show of it. This one time talking to me about work, he kept looking down the whole time & never once taunted me about hijab, just quietly chose respect idk that was very kind

Most people don't know this, but it's in the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 that you can only install a water cooler in a public place if you are doing it on Eid instead of doing qurbani, otherwise it's illegal

Unpopular opinion but qurbani is not wajib on non haji people AT ALL. It is actually better to install a water cooler or plant trees as opposed to doing qurbani of an animal, leaving streets dirty and then only giving the scrap parts to ghareeb.
