@BarnesSMJ @JeffreyLuscombe Rail in general would help. Doesn’t have to be HSR for local, but investing all dollars into more lanes is a losing strategy and lack of density is a losing strategy. It’s not financially sustainable for municipalities. Suburbs can’t afford to maintain roads.

@TheOnlyFronk @JeffreyLuscombe We don’t though…look at domestic flights. Airlines are completely uncontested for short regional hauls that are often full. $320+ for 1 hour flights is a scam. Trains that compete against this flight time and distance would create more competition for cheaper transportation.

He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." If there was ever any more concrete evidence that we never landed on the moon in 1969 then here it is: NASA is about to launch Artemis 2 to fly around the moon and back. A non stop Journey. Yup that’s right, go around the moon and back…… Not land and come back. Just fly around and back. The Artemis shuttle will be in continuous motion there and back. We are struggling how to land on the moon and come back safely in 2026, do you really think we were able to do it in 1969?!?!? 🤭
