Chema Andrés does similar things to Rodri. Anticipation, proactive, clean way of tackling (to retain the ball), reads the situation well to mop up loose and second balls, aerial threat offensively & defensively. Plays from first-time touches, plays with disguise, scanning ability is elite, pausa, controls the rhythm, never hides from the ball, always a passing option, smart off-ball movements down the channels, can play as #8, I've seen him ping passes similarly to Rodri to players running beyond.

The midfielder signing in the summer will tell a lot. If it’s Tonali, wrap it up. It’s over. If it’s Bouaddi or Wharton or Anderson, you got something to work with. The signing has to be able to eliminate players either through passing or carrying. None of the current 2 can.
