Spent the day vehicle shopping, test drove and researched quite a few EVs. It came down to 2 for us - 2026 Tesla Premium Model Y - 2026 Cadillac Vistiq We ended up putting a deposit down on the Tesla Model Y for our first EV. Just wanted to thank y'all for the suggestions!

@DThompsonDev With Cadillac you’ll have less convenient charging on road trips, lack of good autopilot, and an ancient infotainment system

@DThompsonDev No adjustments, just pure fun and joy, BUT, only if its Tesla :) Home charger with installation will cost you about $1.5K

ELECTRIC VEHICLE OWNERS what is the worst thing about owning one? I'm really thinking about getting a Cadillac Vistiq and it would be my first EV. I'm trying to find out what's the stuff folks don't tell you. What took an adjustment from going from a regular car to an EV?

The Playwright 1.59 release includes awesome AI debugging features. Recorded a new video with my review and quick demo for some of those. youtu.be/wqufXmzbyUs

@GeromeDEV @Armandotrue Claude Code has awesome plan mode, just switch to it, describe the feature you want to build, and ask Claude to make a plan. It will make a research and present detailed plan, then iterate. Once you happy, say “do it” and go grab some coffee.

Any tips for Claude Code for a Angular/node application from scratch? I want to give Claude Code a try this weekend.

@PovilasKorop Is there any difference in the quality of the code output when using Claude Code inside VS Code as an extention versus using it from the terminal?

Opinion. Claude Code is amazing. BUT. It can be fully usable for a *developer* only in a Terminal inside of a *proper IDE*, like Cursor/VS Code, PhpStorm, or whatever you prefer. As a developer, I do need to see the filetree, current git status, quickly open any file, etc.

@ArtemBondar @Shpigford most of them I only run once per project, to set up the rules and guidelines. but that's also why i have the /hud command, to show me that view right there!

am i legitimately missing out on some major new productivity/power unlocks in claude code by ignoring all the extras (mcps, plugins, skills, agents) and just going vanilla with it?

@Shpigford all kinds of stuff! I think of coding with LLMs as a ratchet. Everytime something goes wrong or has bad quality, we fix the system.

@ArtemBondar @thdxr I've only spent a couple hundred on overages, this is my calculated cost of I were paying without subscription. But yes I've blown through my allotment on the 200 plan each week

we analyzed 3400 opencode zen users and their anthropic usage last 30 days median spend: $13.52 average spend: $44.36 only 75 people above $200 (3%) i know there's a psychological impact of a "subscription" but maybe you don't really need that $200 plan

@aarondfrancis @thdxr Do you want to say that $200/month usage limit is not enough and you use extra tokens through API key? 😲

@thdxr I think this is some kind of logical fallacy but I'm not sure which. Selection bias maybe?

Time to say goodbye 😢. Unfortunately I have been the latest victim of layoffs. I have taken some time to process and It has been really hard. This wasn’t just a job. This was my dream. Thanks Microsoft, @playwrightweb, and everyone I have worked with 💔 debbie.codes/blog/laid-off-…

Last week I watched a very interesting documentary on YouTube: “The Thinking Game”. This made me realize, that every time it responds “You absolutely right!”, it learns and becomes better.
