Day 1 of building a SaaS so I can quit my waitering job. Two lawyer friends asked me to build them something. I turned it into a product.

@BrendanPlayford Yes, I think with the limited time I should try and validate the idea first. Even manual validation. And then proceed and build. But, idk. There are many approaches to this. Dont know which is the right one, build first or validate first

@artembuilds Building on just 20 hours a week between shifts forces ruthless focus. I usually try to find where people already discuss their manual workarounds to validate if a problem is actually worth that limited time.

20 hours a week. Thats it. Thats all I've got between shifts to build this. No time to sit on an idea that isn't working. Validate fast, kill fast.

Busy doesn't mean you can't take care of yourself. Even with 2 jobs + building a SaaS: - run between shifts - eat whole food - put an hour into the product - stay caffeinated Day 1 of the series is dropping tomorrow.

@PashaBorsai Man, 2-3 coffees a day have kept me very productive for the past few months Dont know how healthy that is, but caffeine is goated for sure😂

day 22 of documenting my journey to $10,000/month. spent most of today refactoring ToolPDFs. still a lot to improve, but it’s finally starting to feel like a real product. also seeing some positive signs: a consulting project might close, and more companies are starting to reach out. building in public on X is crazy. every interaction makes me even more motivated to keep going. strangely, I think people enjoy my travel stories more than my product updates xD.

@Shironbuilds I will for now focus on organic traffic and outreach - first, since I dont have a budget for ads at the moment. But I did hear a lot of good results from direct ads

@artembuilds Niceee! Haven't tried it myself but been seeing people using ads to landing page Not sure on the cost but seems the data based I tried ICP, but most of my people are too supportive haha

@Shironbuilds For now, cold + warm outreach. Get people from my ICP to try it as fast as possible, and give their feedback, good or bad. Trying to make a sale along the way too
