KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: MULTIPLICATION AND STEWARDSHIP
1 Corinthians 4:2 (NKJV): “Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”
Stewardship is a kingdom principle. It teaches us that nothing in our hands should be treated carelessly, because everything we have is first received from God. The Bible asks, “What hast thou that thou didst not receive?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). This means that whether it is money, time, opportunity, influence or skill, it must be handled with faithfulness, wisdom, and accountability.
The vindication of a steward is not simply in what he keeps or in how well he is able to preserve it, but in the multiplication of what has been entrusted to him.
If you cannot multiply one hundred dollars, you may never be entrusted with one thousand dollars. If you cannot multiply one thousand dollars, you may never be entrusted with one hundred thousand dollars. This is because God does not merely look at what you desire to have; He also looks at how you manage what you already have.
For some people, it is a sad reality that money in their hands does not only remain stagnant, but it diminishes. They do not understand where it goes, how it is spent, or why they never seem to have enough. This is not always because they do not earn enough.
Sometimes, it is because they have not embraced the discipline of stewardship.
You must ask yourself the question: Is money safe with me?
In the parable of the talents, the master commended the servants who multiplied what was given to them (Matthew 25:21).
Do not be the kind of person who is always praying for more but never learning how to manage what is already in your hands. God entrusts more to those who prove that they can steward well. Praise God!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for every resource, opportunity, gift, and responsibility You have entrusted to me. You teach me to be a faithful steward. I receive wisdom to manage, discipline to preserve, and grace to multiply what is in my hands. I refuse wastefulness, carelessness, and financial disorder. Money is safe with me because I am led by Your Spirit, governed by wisdom, and committed to Your purpose. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
