My best conversations lately have been with other people actually shipping AI products. If that's you, tell me what you're building.

@gezimqaili Depends on what you’re building and if it’s solo or within a team. But you can have both - clean code and speed.

what matters more today? clean code from scratch or speed with AI tools?

what do local european poor people do? 100% of my uber eat deliveries are foreigners from poor countries now 100% of cleaners in switzerland are eastern europeans when i was young, food deliveries were mainly done by students to subsidise their studies, but this is completely over now my question is: what do poor europeans do? why aren’t they driving ubers or delivering food or cleaning floors? i understand that middle class and above sees themselves above this type of work but there must be at least 20% of local society that is also poor, so what are they doing

@danielkleach For most courses I would agree, but not cybersecurity - it still has a lot more value than AI could now give.

Hot take: Courses are pointless now with AI. That's it... that's the post. Agree? Disagree? Why?

@RajX_21 Not sure what I would ask, but if HR didn't have a filter it would almost always be "What is your salary expectation?" haha.

You can ask one question to every software engineer in the world... What are you asking? Mine would be: "What's one decision that had the biggest impact on your career?"

founders 👋 if your product fixes a painful problem, drop it here and say the problem in one line. I’ll reply with the first thing I’d test. do it for other founders too.

@jyriso Yeah, seems more realistic, but convincing 50 people to pay monthly for your product when you just started and it’s only you is still hard.

Let's do some math 🤓 My monthly living expenses are ~700 €/m. I build a SaaS with the lowest plan at $19/m. That means I need 37 paying customers to cover my expenses. Not 10,000. Not 1,000. Just 37 humans who find enough value to pay $19. Yes, taxes, payment fees, and unexpected expenses mess with the numbers a bit. So let's say 50 to be safe. 50 customers. That's it. Somehow when you frame it this way, it doesn't sound impossible at all.

@256_rc Yeah, wanted to start a long time ago but I always ended up spiralling in overthinking and such. Always felt as I wasn’t enough. Now I finally decided to change that. What is your brand called?

@nico_vrgwn I see, Apviso engine is also heavily focused on memory (BM25 + Vector). I finally got to launch Apviso Sentinel - pretty much 24/7 pentesting that learns all the time using AI. Now I’ll take some time off by preparing some tools I built for myself and launching them.

@artisanmikey Causal memory for agents, so they can learn from experiences instead of simply retrieving associated facts. Hbu ?

@i_mika_el Yeah, I agree. And in Czechia - also their target customers, you have to keep all accounting history for at least 3 years as a freelancer (10 when you deal with VAT).

@artisanmikey 3 months feels aggressive for invoicing. old invoices are exactly the data people come back for.

Invoicing SaaS just scheduled my account for deletion after 3 months of inactivity. Is it standard practice to delete accounts after 3 months of inactivity? Surely one row isn't why they need to delete it.

Whatever you're building right now - stop for a few minutes and make sure it's actually secure. More important than ever in the AI era, when code ships faster than anyone reviews it. What tools do you use to check the security of your own stuff?

@i_mika_el Seems like system prompt of recon agent. It failed right after recon started, similar to what happened once before on Opus 4.7 when they introduced Cyber Verification Program where I had to sign up to actually use it. Opus 4.6 was last great model for cybersecurity in that way.

@artisanmikey I am not sure safety review can work if it blocks the whole pentest. what exactly triggered it?

Tried running Fable 5 on an Apviso pentest scan. Immediately blocked. Supposedly the most capable model available right now, and we can't use it to do the one thing our product needs: find vulnerabilities. Meanwhile the actual attackers aren't waiting on anyone's safety review. Anyone else trying to use Fable 5 in Claude Code to actually make their tools more secure, and hitting the same wall?
