@Clowfb This opens two questions; if he turned down $10 million how much is Ohio State paying him, and what schools outside of Indiana and Texas Tech who have billionaires buying players offered him that much money.

Haven’t seen many, if any, football players who looked like they could have gone straight from high school to the NFL. Maybe Jadeveon Clowney. Smith is another. Gotta love his confidence and competitive spirit. He’s the best player in the country, and it’s not close.

@MrChrisByrd If you only knew what Danny did to the fans that built the north endzone of Neyland Stadium & TBA. Hamilton would not let anyone touch those contracts UT made with fans. Danny broke them & hid behind state immunity to keep from being sued. He’s dirty and corrupt.

We’re sprinting toward a cliff of fan apathy and tapped out donors.

Unfortunately after Pat retired no AD has taken the coaching role as seriously as they should have. The Lady Vols were the premier program but every hire after Pat has been a low level coach. They have never tried to hire a top 1-2 coach. They let the program slide to where it is now.

The transfer portal can help build rosters, but it's hard to imagine the Lady Vols being as talented as last year's team since few elite-level players seem to want to play in Kim Caldwell's system. The Vols have a better chance to rebuild but that won't be easy, either.

It’s interesting to me how few people are aware of the difference in the alumni bases & their financial standings. The Big10 has the richest alumni base compared to the SEC. Only Vandy can compete in the alumni money the Big10 has. With the NIL the Big10 can buy all the best players. This was something myself & others warned about but no one seems to have picked up on it.

For the first time in nine years, an SEC team did not win a national championship in either football or men’s or women’s basketball. Interesting stuff here from @Brett_McMurphy.

@ZeroContextVols They own the SEC because the Big10 has the richest alumni. This gap is only going to get wider. Indiana has two billionaires funding anything they want. The best players are all being bought by the Big10 because they have more money to pay them.

The Big Ten owns the SEC in every sport and I’m not embarrassed to admit that lol

So over 100K+ people will buy passes to the show, but they need to limit press passes like its going to cause an issue with attendance. We all know the ownership is focused on making money. They’ve raised prices substantially on corporate vendors & reduced their badge allotments as well.

For all those saying President Trump’s Executive Order on college athletics is “just a piece of paper” with no real weight, remember that the Emancipation Proclamation was also a presidential executive action issued by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War. Lincoln used his authority as Commander-in-Chief in a time of armed rebellion to declare enslaved people in Confederate-held territory free — a bold war measure that stood and helped change the course of history. It was never overturned by a court. Executive orders have real power when rooted in the president’s constitutional authority, even if they face legal challenges. Dismissing Trump’s efforts to protect women’s sports, non-revenue programs, and the future of college athletics as meaningless ignores that history. Strong leadership sometimes requires using every tool available — including the executive pen.

Because I’m a weirdo and have been chasing the 3 Jordan cards in the 1995 Greek Joan card set since I learned about it 15+ years ago, I won the auction for this card last night to finally have all 3 of the Jordan cards in the set. I had never even seen this card until it popped up for auction. Sometimes you are completely in the dark when collecting extremely rare cards especially from European sets & releases.
