@shawnlenore Weirdly, Mastodon has been my best performing alternative.

The amount of advice for artists that's just "pivot to video!" for the current year is depressing. I don't make videos. I don't make animations. I make drawings. I specifically make things that don't move and look nice as a still image. This is a valuable skill.

So we're all having this issue! I've gotten the most followers on Tumblr, but the most interaction on Twitter and Instagram. I haven't used bsky enough and I don't have energy for Tiktok.

Can I just say DaVinci Resolve is the most intuitive thing I've ever used? I have never edited videos in my life and yet I haven't needed to read documentation or look at a tutorial even once. This trailer is going to be epic 🤯

@neondragonart Yes! This is exactly it. It basically becomes an obsession while I'm working on it.

@artsangel I have a long term art project that I work on too. Its not a comic, but any time I do art away from it it feels like a treat, but then I go back to the long term project, like I'm "wasting" time by doing anything else. I wish I could break the mindset.

Every time I stop painting comic panels for a bit and just do other art I'm always like "this is so much better and stress free" yet I always go back to comics like some kind of masochist

Does anybody else ever go back and tweak old artwork? Normally I wouldn't, but I loved this one and my editor asked me to send through any other paintings I'd done for QE, so I fixed it!
