Nobody forced any thing on India. You are flat out lying + making up stuff. India had said if Pakistan does not escalate - that is India gets the last blow, which we did - we will consider it a pause for now. This has been a spectacular win for India. More pain to come for Pak.

Indian army targeted only terrorist bases in Pakistan. Hardly a few Pakistani civilians lost their lives. Yet, Trump jumped in defence of Pakistan and forced a ceasefire upon India. He indirectly scolds Indian administration for not using 'common sense'. Why does trump intervene when India only conducts operations against Terrorists? Israel kiIIed more than 50K in Gaza, a large number of them civilians. And it still continues. Where was Trump's 'common sense'? Why is he not forcing a ceasefire upon Israel? Why is it one rule for a rich white man and another for a poor brown man? A very well deserved victory of Indian army has been neutralized by cheap US politics. Ultimately, Pakistan will continue to exist. It is only a matter of time before Pakistan launches terror attacks into India. This is very disappointing as all our sacrifices resulted in nothing once again. Not an inch of the land illegally occupied by Pakistan has been gained. The dagger to stab India's back has been protected once more.
