I’ve always believed software development is asymptotic. The first 80% comes quickly. But the remaining 20%: business logic, edge cases, correctness, and the countless production-ready details, is where the real effort lies. LLMs accelerate the start, not the finish.

The lack of mainstream breakout vibecoded apps reveals a truth about building: the first 95% has always been easy. Building apps pre-AI was never bottlenecked by cognition, it was just tedious. The next few years will reveal whether that last 5% is a skill gap or taste gap.

This is the engineering story behind how we built Limit Order v2 from the ground up. For a while, people wanted two things: more order types, and to think in dollars instead of doing token-for-token math. But every time we looked at building them, we hit the same wall. The v1 onchain program and the ratio model couldn't express what people wanted. So we bit the bullet and rebuilt it with a different approach: an order is a price, not a barter ratio. It surfaced problems the v1 model had been hiding: pricing any token in USD, monitoring every order at scale, and executing safely on a ledger that never forgets. @arzine_ documented the whole thing in 3 parts 👇 Part 1 - The any-any problem: developers.jup.ag/blog/lov2-the-… Part 2 - Correctness under failure: developers.jup.ag/blog/lov2-corr… Part 3 - From barter to money: developers.jup.ag/blog/lov2-from…

NEW: @JupiterExchange has launched Trailing Stop Loss for Limit Orders, allowing users to set a percentage trail that moves up with price and automatically sells if the asset reverses, helping protect gains instead of only limiting losses.

Say Goodbye to Roundtripping 👋 Introducing Trailing Stop Loss, the newest tool in Jupiter Limit Orders. Old Stop Loss: You buy SOL at $50, set a stop at $45. SOL pumps to $90. If it dumps, your profits roundtrip into a loss. Trailing Stop Loss goes up with the price, protecting your profits: > Set a % trail (0.5% to 90%), instead of a price > Your stop loss rises as the price rises > Zero extra fees > Works with all SPL & Token-2022 (except transfer-fee tokens) Same trade with TSL: SOL runs to $90, your stop trails up to $81. But when it dips, you auto-sell at $81. Most stop losses protect your losers. This one ALSO protects your winners. Just Use Trailing Stop Loss

Trading in ratios brought too many what-ifs and becomes a bit of an overhead. I often find myself falling back to "how much is it in USD?" In the final instalment of Rebuilding Limit Orders, we explore the how LOv2 was modelled for USD prices and the validation that goes behind it so that the experience is still familiar to our v1 enjoyers. If you've stuck through the entire series, I would love to hear what you guys liked about it. Rest assured there will be more from me soon 🤝

Money isn’t the thing you transact in. It’s the thing you think in. We rebuilt Limit Orders around that: orders are now prices, not ratios. We know the switch broke some muscle memory, and many of you have asked why. @arzine_ lays out the full reasoning: developers.jup.ag/blog/lov2-from…
