I see this a lot with jobseekers. You spend months applying. Fixing your resume. Optimizing your LinkedIn. Posting consistently. Pitching. Learning new skills. Then you finally land the remote job and you DISAPPEAR. You stop posting and engaging. You literally abandon your personal brand. You go quiet until something happens. Maybe the contract ends or the company restructured. That’s when you finally remember you have a social media account and then you come back and start building your brand again from SCRATCH. This is a HUGE mistake. Your personal brand is not something you build only when you are job hunting. It is something you build continuously because the moment you stop showing up, you lose visibility and when you lose visibility, opportunities reduce. Keep building even after you land the job. Keep sharing your journey. Keep positioning yourself. So you are not starting from zero every time.

For real, Why do creatives abandon building their brand when they finally get the gig they always wanted? I see that a lot. Any answer?

Day 11 of 14 Days to 1 Year of @remoteworkpadi The first job landed through RemoteWorkPadi was a $3,000 remote role and it happened barely 6 weeks after we launched 🥳 It showed us that the platform was creating real impact and we’re working to create even more opportunities. What role are you currently looking for? #roadtooneyearanniversary

We’ve been receiving volunteer applications for @BuildWithIntern and what I’ve been seeing is so heartbreaking 💔 Sometimes the reason why you haven’t been called for an interview is not your skill, it’s how your resume is presenting your experience. So here are 3 clear signs your resume needs a revamp. 1. You are applying consistently but not getting interviews If you have submitted multiple applications and you are not even getting screening calls, your resume is likely not aligned with the roles you are targeting. This usually means your keywords, structure, or positioning needs improvement. 2. Your resume lists duties instead of achievements If your bullet points start with things like “responsible for”, “assisted with”, or “helped with” without showing results, you are not showing impact. Recruiters want to see what changed because of your work, not just what you were assigned to do. 3. You are using one resume for every job Each job description is different. If you are sending the same resume everywhere, your resume is missing key terms that ATS systems look for. Customizing your resume improves your chances of getting noticed. Your resume is not something you create once and forget. It should evolve as your experience grows and as the job market changes. Sometimes a few strategic updates can make a big difference in your results. Before you apply for your next job, you can either apply blindly and get rejected or know what your resume is missing so you can increase your chances of being invited for an interview. Use the Resume Analyzer on @remoteworkpadi and see how well your resume matches your target role. Try it here: remoteworkpadi.com

Someone with less experience than you just secured a $1000 role 💃 She didn’t overthink it. She joined @atcproacademy Remote Work Program, learned, implemented and showed up confidently. Sometimes it’s not about who knows more, it’s about who actually takes ACTION. Start your journey here: atcproacademy.com/rwp

If you want a remote job in 2026, you need to understand this first. Remote work is becoming more competitive, not because there are no opportunities, but because more people are now interested in working remotely. So the strategy that worked a few years ago will not work the same way in 2026. Before, you could apply with a basic resume, send a few applications, and still get responses. Now remote companies are receiving applications from all over the world and that means you are not just competing with people in your city or your country. You are competing globally and when competition becomes global, your approach has to change. You need to start thinking beyond just applying, think about positioning. Positioning yourself as someone who understands remote work, someone who can communicate clearly and someone who can work independently. Remote companies are not just hiring skills, they are hiring people they can trust to deliver without constant supervision. This is why things like your online presence now matter more. Another thing to understand is that remote hiring is becoming more skills based and companies want to see proof. They want to see what you have done so you need to consistently update your portfolio and position yourself strategically. If you want a remote job in 2026, do not just focus only on sending applications. Focus on building relevant skills, showcasing your work and learning how remote teams operate. The people who will win in the remote job market are not just the most qualified, they are the most prepared. Shalom 💛
