Oof #LibraryTwitter . I’m seeing white librarians here and on other platforms sharing that their workplaces are safe and welcoming for minority groups and while *you* may think that, it’s not your declaration to make.

We need to have a serious conversation about slavery--its ahistoricism--and how blackness exists outside of time. Slavery was never simply or completely configured as a material circumstance--but as a state of mind and of being.
