@SawyerMerritt There’s a chance close to 100% of these will be converted to orders. Demand and wait time can make these reservations super valuable. So one person with 3 early reservations can sell 2 at a higher price and keep one.

At the end of the day, even if 50% of the 1.4M cancel, that still gives Tesla $50B in revenue. Once the truck hits the streets, even more people will want to order it. No matter what, Tesla will likely have years worth of orders when it launches.

According this this reservation tracker (below), current estimated Cybertruck reservations stand at about 1.4 million. If all these reservations converted to orders (not all will), this would likely result in over $100B in revenue for Tesla.
