Good afternoon everyone, The response to CourtWatch.us has been overwhelming — thank you!! To be transparent: it's just me building this. I work a full-time job and launched yesterday purely to see if anyone cared. Clearly you do. Important context: this data is solely based on pretrial release cases. Judges handle hundreds of cases a year — what you're seeing is a small fraction of their total caseload. This does not mean there is 100% corruption. But when you look at the data, it may signify that change is needed to keep our communities safe. I'm working on adding more info pertaining to details about defendants etc but it will take some time and the website will evolve over time. I'll be adding data weekly and sending newsletter updates every Tuesday that you can be a part of. I won't be able to respond to every comment — there are simply too many — but I read as many as I can. This is public information that should be easy to find. I'm just making it easier to find.
