We did it! Deakin’s ASCEND Solar Car team has travelled over 3,000km from Darwin to Adelaide to complete the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has united the team and taken us on an engineering challenge that will live in our memories forever.

Deakin’s Solar Car Team has passed static and dynamic scrutineering and will line up on the start line of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge on Sunday 22 October. We completed dynamic scrutineering with our fastest lap of 2:23 placing 3rd in our class. Go Team ASCEND!

It’s been quite a week for Deakin’s ASCEND Solar Car Team! The safe arrival of the Solar Car in Darwin, and displaying ASCEND at the Waterfront Holiday Program before settling into Pit Garage 25 at Hidden Valley for testing and preparation before the BWSC kicks off on 22 Oct.
