26-year-old schizophrenic in Seattle with a criminal history has been charged with attempted murder after he tried to push a man (twice) onto the train tracks on March 19.
Thankfully, the victim was able to save himself from falling to certain doom.
The suspect, Elisio Melendez, fled the scene and was arrested on March 24.
He tried to deny he was the assailant and reportedly said, “Maybe that was my twin that I don’t have.”
During Melendez’s arraignment on Tuesday, a judge granted a defense request for a mental health evaluation.
