@Cydinide2 @ansardem @mercsogyny If you have a car that’s extremely quick but shreds its tyres over a race distance, compared to a car a tenth or two slower in quali that takes care of its tyres, is it the driver’s fault that they can’t win on sunday?

@ansardem @mercsogyny either the Ferrari purposefully developed quick quali cars which makes the stat look more impressive than it is, or leclerc bottles on sunday

@YUNGJEFF I experienced one piece by a mix of watch/reading thanks to a friend making a guide (still have it). Involves watching the actually well paced parts and reading when it gets slow (especially bad in one of the later arcs). Can send the guide if you’re interested?

Question for my One Piece enjoyers: (Might delete this later, just curious what yall think) What’s the best way to go about FULLY experiencing the story on first watch besides just watching the anime? I’ve read like 2 of the cover stories not all, nor watched any movies. I guess my main question is does it take away anything from just watching the anime or only add? If it adds: should I go back right now and read all the cover stories/watch all the movies that I missed? Or is there a good stopping point later on I can do that?

@ImPulseHobby @Ace_of_Schrades @allenvonghornet The wobbuffet gives me more xp, but i could be wrapped in destiny bond (not guaranteed) and lose a crucial mon. Skarmory is the safer option (though start of grind i might not be one shotting it), giving less xp. Would choosing skarmory not be engaging with the difficulty aspect?

@ImPulseHobby @Ace_of_Schrades @allenvonghornet If i’m grinding mons for e4, finished my hours of planning and just need to level them. Let’s say victory road has lvl 50 wobbuffet with shadow tag and destiny bond, while an earlier route has a lvl 47 skarmory you could one shot. Who should i grind against?

“now that I beat this level 33 gym I can immediately level all my Pokemon even my weakest ones to level 43! Nuzlocke rules are awesome!!” “Uh doesn’t that make the game kinda easy?” “Are you saying you want me to grind wurmples for 70 hours? This is what you’re making me do!”

@Fontbane @PocketTrigger @allenvonghornet there is no risk in grinding though, my level 57 tyranitar is never dying to a level 3 sentret even if i tried, would you be willing to repeat that fight for hours to get to the part of the game that's actually fun - i.e. the trainers you prepped for and risk those mons in?

@PocketTrigger @allenvonghornet The point of Nuzlockes and these challenges is to up the stakes of even mundane parts of the game and introduce elements of risk you can choose to mitigate or gamble through. Hacking in items to mitigate the risk from grinding and get an advantage defeats the purpose of that

@ImPulseHobby @Ace_of_Schrades @allenvonghornet without the rare candies you spend hours grinding against level 3 mons so there's no risk of that KO, or you can rare candy them up to level for the fight where you actually risk the loss of that pokemon

@DavidSB4_ Ricciardo 18 - extremely solid driver, overall good performances, overshadowed by max and impulse left which destroyed his career Vettel 17 - ferrari downgrades ruined this man, solid season but ferrari letdown

@Dagaa08 @Scuderiascoop that's not true when all teams develop engines without sending cars on the track. out of curiosity, where do you stand on the mclaren flexi-wing stuff last year?

@ashbest122 @Scuderiascoop The difference is that its pretty much impossible to test the compression ratio accurately when the cars are doing 15 000 rpm out on the track. Probably why the engine is tested at ambient temperatures in the first place.

@Dagaa08 @Scuderiascoop if the fia used a sensor with a different sampling frequency ferrari would be caught, if the fia tested the mercedes compression ratio at operating conditions they'd be caught. one is a system, the other abuses material properties, where do you draw the legality line?

@Dagaa08 @Scuderiascoop mercedes uses materials that allow for thermal expansion under operating conditions that increases their compression ratio. against the spirit of the law, but not doing anything wrong as their compression ratio was legal when tested
