BIG on hosting coming back. Some of funnest things I have co-hosted in BLR because of my lovely flatmates: 1) Annual diwali parties with a gol gappa counter 2) Sunday morning home cafe where my flatmate was the barista 3) An in person r/AskWomen event 4) An engagement party for my flatmate 5) Birthday parties of all shapes and sizes 6) Friends going away/coming back to BLR parties 7) A FIFA tournament (only 5% yap participation from me) 8) A ‘my mom is in town and she wants to meet you all’ party 9) The bi-monthly lets call a friend becomes 8 people so now its a party Excited for more soirées at home in 2026 🌷

Went to this lovely place in South Delhi, food was banging, and just as we finished eating, a rat dropped in from the ceiling and sprinted into the kitchen 🫠 No matter how aesthetic the interiors get, how bougie the restaurants act or how global the menu sounds, we still live in India. Trying to cordon ourselves off from the state of the country with a shiny veneer is just that, a shiny veneer.
