We launched #Exadata X9M in #OracleCloud today. SQL PMem/Flash Read IOPS is 22.4M (8 DB servers). It used to be 12M IOPS with X8M, released in Oct 2020. So in 18 months, we almost doubled our performance 🙂 oracle.com/news/announcem…

Another question about backend development in 2022 – should you use standard hosted Postgres/MySQL (eg RDS) or go all-in on something like Planetscale/Cockroach/Yugabyte/etc? We don't need scale right now. Would love to hear the honest opinion from people who used the latter ones
