Violent Extremism + gender dynamics of radicalization • UNR Alum • Tracking far right networks and narratives

This supercut came from a podcast that was sent my way by @ashkenaz89. When she is not dancing, she is deep in the trenches of extremism research and clearly has her finger on the pulse.

🚨 Fergie Chambers: The Cox Heir Funding SJP and Radical Activism Fergie Chambers is using the inherited Cox fortune to subsidize "anti-imperialist" and openly radical politics, and he is brazen enough to explain the model himself. He says he has been “giving money to Students for Justice in Palestine since like 2005,” that his U.S.-based foundation is “committed to Anti-Imperialist causes,” and that his political work has ranged from “community organizing to direct action… and then a lot of… funding.” He even says, “If someone needs to donate to something, I’ll do it,” and, more ominously, “if someone needed to get a little crazy, I was willing to do it.” This is not just activism. It is a wealthy extremist financier using family money to push a revolutionary agenda. Chambers also says he could send “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to projects he supports, admits he had been involved in “Palestine action stuff,” and boasts, “I chained myself to the door” of an Israeli weapons company office. Most strikingly, he all but says he left the United States so he could keep doing this with less risk. He says “there were like feds looking at me,” recalls scrutiny tied to “anti-police work in Atlanta,” and explains that he and others decided they could be “more useful to the world at large, not being in the US anymore.” Chambers now lives in Ireland and has continued this sort of extremist financing. At what point do the feds move on this and seek Ireland’s cooperation?

Do you think Orban might rig the elections?🤔
