@djoindapitt @GHOSTP1TT even have the CTG on the right way… like, that’s so basic 😭 and for this to happen twice in a row with births, when OBGYN/maternity is a woman-dominated field… idk, it’s just frustrating!! Like others have said, ortho can come down, neuro can come down, etc… why no OBGYN rep!

@djoindapitt @GHOSTP1TT so lots of doctors/nurses would come running. I was in a code for a shoulder dystocia the other week and the place was PACKED with people. I love this show so much and I still loved the scene/episode, but it’s frustrating for the “realism” to be spouted off and then they couldn’t

some people really forget that the pitt... is a tv show, so of course it's going to have their characters do more than they would in real life and dramatise things. If I complained the same way every time a show or movie gets a lab thing wrong....

@djoindapitt @GHOSTP1TT yeah I feel like it’s cool/still realistic to have the women stay in the ED, but if OBGYN came down and the pitt doctors assisted!! That way it could showcase OBGYN *and* our fave characters!!!

@GHOSTP1TT @ashleysatines Oh yeah! That would be interesting. I think part of the reason they give so many explanations as to why the woman is staying down in the er is to keep it as real as possible, if they had just wheeled her up as soon as she arrived then it is not interesting for a show

@djoindapitt @GHOSTP1TT i think it most likely didn’t help that multiple things about that scene/case were inaccurate. the ctg was on backwards, they didn’t stimulate the baby, they should have done an umbilical line instead of an IO… + this being the 2nd birth to exclude OBGYN feels like a pattern

@GHOSTP1TT yup! what prompted my tweet was the amount of people complaining about the lack of a obgyn attending in the last episode when if it's a show focused on a er of course the er doctors are going to do more stuff and they explain all of your complaints in the ep if you pay attention
