@AshKuma06593201 @PratibhaGoyal Home loan is given only after verifying the repayment capacity. Thorough financial profiling of the applicant is done before sanctioning the loan. So I am sure that if loan has been taken and documents are presented before the department, the case will be dealt with accordingly.

@ashutosh_05 @PratibhaGoyal You are right but the question is where do you provide the details of the source of funds. In todays world Home Loans are used for house purchases but does Income Tax Department track and link that with Flat purchase ?

My client is a regular ITR filer, has got Income Tax Intimation for buying a Property! Now she is worried and want to explain the source, but we don’t have proper Tab for that! It is only like yes, no blah blah! I mean, हाँ मैंने Property ली, अपना PAN दिया, TDS काटा, जमा किया! ITR भी file की! नहीं करना था क्या?

This is just a preliminary step where the department is trying to know from you whether or not the transaction was done by the client. In due course the client will receive communications asking further pertinent details
