Today is a bad day, I’m not feeling very Holly. So I’m remembering that a few weekends ago I met a very well behaved goat who I can’t tell my goats about because then they’ll want to wear fancy things and be paraded around the streets for their adoring public #AnimalAdvent day 8

I signed Crustacean Compassion's open letter calling for animals like crabs & lobsters to be included in animal welfare legislation & am delighted to see they now have been! Fantastic to work with @crab_welfare to achieve this. Thanks @DefraGovUK for listening to the science!

I am so so happy today as I was lucky enough to get funding from Formas as PI to improve welfare of crustaceans and a co-I with the talented @GransAlbin to enhance welfare of fishes. A total of 1.4 million kroner for aquatic animals #fishwelfare #crustacean

During a dive off Anilao, our senior campaigner, Danny Ocampo, photographed this fish. Unknown to him, this is the rare sailfish velifer (Velifer hypselopterus)! This could be the first and only known photographic record of this species in the Philippines. 🐟 #ProtectOurOceans

K is for Kagu The Kagu, Rhynochetos jubatus, known locally as the ghost of the forest, is an almost flightless bird. The Kagu has a large crest, long legs and a ‘bark’ which can be heard over a mile away. Discover more about the near flightless Kagu: bit.ly/3iUIxY0
