@edwardlrowe ha yeah. actually considering just driving the entire 9.5 hr trip rather than fly + rent a car there.

@askingforamy Yeah that's crazy. It's hard because there aren't really good alternatives if you find yourself in a situation where you need to rent one.

@askingforamy I don't know if this is rhetorical, but I'm gonna dive in here with a possible patronizing comment anyway. Dad said he'd heard it has to do with rental companies selling off their fleets when air travel was dramatically reduced. Now they don't have as many cars to rent.
