Career Transition from #PhD to #ECR ⏲ 28 March 3pm GMT / 4pm CET This webinar will focus on the transition from PhD student to early career researcher and bring together early career and established researchers to share their experiences and top tips on how to smoothen the career transition, how to deal with potential challenges and the opportunities that this transition offers. The webinar is organised in partnership between the Association of European Planning School’s Young Academics Network (@aesopyoungacademics) and the @regionalstudies. Following many years of informal collaboration, we teamed up with the network to develop a webinar series focussing on navigating career success specifically designed for PhD students and early career researchers. As with all RSA webinars, these webinars are free and open to all to attend live and do not require a current membership of either Association. This edited volume explores the transition from oil-driven economies to post-oil paradigms, focusing on urban transformations, resilience, and oil heritage preservation. We invite contributions on: * Socio-Economic Impacts of Oil Decline: Effects on communities, labor, and economies. * Environmental Justice and Sustainability: Challenges and opportunities in transitioning from oil. * Cultural and Social Narratives of Oil: Influence of art, literature, and media on oil perceptions. * Policy and Planning for Post-Oil Futures: Strategies for adapting urban spaces and infrastructure. * Global Energy Transitions and Urban Implications: Impact of energy shifts on urban development and geopolitics. * Innovation and Adaptation in Post-Oil Economies: New economic models and strategies for cities moving away from oil.
