I just announced a commitment from major mortgage lenders to offer a 90-day grace period on mortgage payments for their customers impacted by the LA firestorm. Devastated residents should be able to concentrate on their immediate needs, not worry about paying these bills.

I’m expanding our ongoing special session with the Legislature to provide Los Angeles with billions in funding for firestorm response and recovery efforts. We’re moving quickly to help Angelenos who've lost their homes and schools to build back better.

This city of Santa Monica has a mandatory evacuation for areas above San Vicente, between Ocean and 26th. USE WILSHIRE TO EVACUATE

As evacuation zones grow, if you have an electric vehicle, and your area still has power, make sure you’re fully charged in case you need to evacuate. Don’t get stuck, evacuate. It is a reality & an important policy conversation we all need to have. #PalisadesFire #EatonFire

City Departments are mobilizing to actively assist with evacuations and traffic gridlock. LAPD is currently on a Citywide tactical alert with personnel assigned to assist in the Pacific Palisades community. Traffic Control officers and Special Traffic Operations personnel from the Department of Transportation have also been deployed. We ask Angelenos to stay off the roads in the area to ensure evacuations are completed and emergency vehicles are able to access the fire.
