@HBHNationBlog @below_avgcaps I have said all year that I believe the team needed more veterans, especially as injuries piled up, and depth down the middle. Guys that have gone through multiple 72-plus game grinds. They’re needed, especially in March. I also wish he didn’t add that part, but love the honesty.
English

@asmease @below_avgcaps It's definitely more of just how King is versus Nelly, but it's not encouraging right now to hear it said that way.
English

@below_avgcaps @HBHNationBlog Bingo. He’s also a former player and understands how it works. Nelly in past years has said things similar to this, not the same verbiage after tough losses and puts it on the leaders to get the room going.
English

@HBHNationBlog I think he just means they need the vets to help the younger guys get out of their heads, and not the players aren't listening to my coaching
English

@HBHNationBlog Weird thing is they are playing better than last night, which isn’t saying much, but lack of depth down the middle is showing… all the chances for Belleville is coming in the middle and they’re capitalizing. Gotta be better.
English

@HBHNationBlog Rough effort from Chesley there. Almost looked like he just wanted to shield him out and let him teammate dig the puck out, but Lyksell wanted it and capitalized. Can’t hate that effort from Lyksell. Chesley’s gotta want it more.
English

@HBHNationBlog @88_heather_88_5 @livelyone1776 I think he was only listed at center. Outside of one or two draws, he was playing mostly on the wing. At least from my vantage point.
English

@88_heather_88_5 @livelyone1776 Definitely us who said it was center depth - Clarke didn't play center at all during his time in Hershey and yet, there he was tonight playing center. Very comparable players with similar seasons so far, but Belleville is definitely winning the points race since!
English

@HBHNationBlog That, plus injuries, guys moving overseas. Last year, I believe it was less than 40, and that included the handful of rookies that played only that last game or two. Crazy to see the turnover.
English

@asmease It’s a reflection of all the changes and brief stints, that’s for sure! Took a lot of work to whittle it down to this core group we see today!
English

The Hershey Bears have endured a big test of their depth in 2025-26, clearing the way for today's group that has the final 15 game stretch ahead to lock in a playoff spot. Looking back at the changes, injuries, and looking ahead in the latest! bearshockeynation.wordpress.com/2026/03/10/cur…
English

@88_heather_88_5 @HBHNationBlog I personally wouldn’t mind slotting him with Leason and Rybi… slide Cristall to pair with Clarke on the 3rd…
English

@HBHNationBlog Where would you slot him in at? I mean our top 2 lines are pretty okay…
English

Sonny Milano has cleared waivers and will join the Bears! Big addition for them up front on this stretch.

@cswa11 As I said in the reply on there, very well written. Liked the opening couple of paragraphs especially. 👏👏

My favorite part of my website’s niche is doing articles like this - getting to show appreciation for the Bears players and staff! These people give a lot and deserve so much praise.

It was revealed on Wednesday that public address announcer Jarrod Wronski will no longer be with the Hershey Bears, and today we're saying thank you from Bear Nation for being the voice of the presentation at Giant Center! bearshockeynation.wordpress.com/2026/02/26/tha…
English

@HBHNationBlog Extremely well-written @cswa11 … after hearing more, I felt bad about my comments about the PA announcing this past weekend. But, these are giant shoes to fill. It’s the little things you sometimes overlook.

@Fgc16c45 @HBHNationBlog You’re absolutely right on this. People like to criticize, and it’s warranted… but we’re also spoiled. That being said, very new roster and the injuries have not allowed the boys to gel. I think I was up to 48 players to wear a jersey in a regular season game this season… crazy
English

@HBHNationBlog These injuries have been a killer for not only depth but leadership. It’s been a tough season all around. For what it’s worth during the jersey auction Sam bitten told my son he’s playing on Wednesday.
English

The Hershey Bears have a gauntlet ahead of them starting on Wednesday, and it's going to be a major challenge across the board for this group with important points on the line. Get set in the latest! bearshockeynation.wordpress.com/2026/02/23/bea…
English

@HBHNationBlog @BrianMM43199 Absolutely. Gotta get a spark early and five shots on that opening power play was good, if one could have snuck through it’s different.
English

@asmease @BrianMM43199 It’s a weird game too. A couple chances might be goals in another game and two of LV’s goals were absolute gifts. Gotta hope for a split tomorrow, it seems.
English

@HBHNationBlog @BrianMM43199 Agreed on this. They haven’t been able to catch a break tonight.
English

@asmease @BrianMM43199 I think you both have valid points. That’s been the best line but again, it hasn’t been enough to break through and inspire confidence.
English

@BrianMM43199 @HBHNationBlog I respect the opinion. I don’t think they’re very good. They’re young and I watch on a game to game basis. Inconsistencies can be had. Injuries have hurt any attempt at gaining traction.
English

@asmease @HBHNationBlog I respect your observations, always, but at some point a spade is a spade. This team stinks, I have no qualms in saying that.
English

@BrianMM43199 @HBHNationBlog Not excuses. Just observations. The pro line has been very good tonight. They’re getting phased by the extra stuff. Getting sucked into it.
English

@asmease @HBHNationBlog Let’s not make excuses, Andy. From top to bottom, this team has stunk most of the season. Tonight is no exception. What you are describing is just simply window-dressing.
English

@TonyAndrock @InsideAHLHockey Good call on the response. Response shows a teams resolve. Hershey (STH here) responded in a big way tonight after last night. That’s usually the key. Pens have had a ton of adversity this season, and they’re a great club.
English

Perspective is important.
It's a long season, and there will be a few games a year that are ugly like this one tonight.
WBS still in 2nd place with a double digit lead on third.
Tomorrow's response will be more telling than tonight's performance/result, IMO.
@InsideAHLHockey
Daymond Kovaly@dkov39
@TonyAndrock @InsideAHLHockey Very ugly game, but man. This fanbase turns miserable after every loss. Coming off a 5 game win streak and all star break you’d think we lost our 8th straight. We’ve had a great season and all I see are people thinking we won’t be able to go far
English

@Qptc12 @AHLPR @TheHersheyBears It’s mandatory based on the rules and it being a category 3… any other spot on the ice the ref doesn’t go down. But officiating let it get out of control… and bears get MacPhee again tonight.
English

@AHLPR @TheHersheyBears If your refs did their job this wouldn’t have happened
Horrible officiating and a soft suspension based on video alone.
English

Hershey’s Justin Nachbaur has been suspended for three games as a consequence of his actions in last night’s game at Laval.
